Greg Goldfinch - Ardmore Marist Life Member
At the recent Annual General Meeting for the Ardmore Marist Rugby Club, held on Monday 18th October 2010, Greg Goldfinch was inducted into the Hall of Fame and received the honour of Life Member of the club. Greg has been involved with the Ardmore Marist club since its inception and was involved in the Marist and Ardmore clubs before that. He follows in his father's footsteps in this regard, as Greg's father was also very involved with the Marist clubs in the Counties region. Greg is very much involved in the running of the club and is very influential within the ranks of both the Senior and Junior sections. You will see Greg around the club on a Saturday, especially when there is a Senior home game on, and when you do make sure you buy him a beer - he deserves it for all the work he does for the club. New Screens & Sky TV in ClubroomsBe prepared for entertainment -Sky is coming! The club takes a new step forward in providing after match entertainment with the purchase of two High Definition 50 inch plasma televisions for the club rooms. These are now installed and Sky has also been installed. One of the features will be the ability to video and play back club matches immediately after the game and this will provide a great source of interest and discussion for the players and supporters alike. The existing sound system will be linked to the system so the potential to play music videos for functions will also be available. The whole project is being funded by Ardmar and manager Nickie White believes that the new audio visual setup will lead to a bigger after match crowd staying on to watch the Super 14 and Tri-Nations games and also presenting the opportunity to open the club longer on non-home game nights. The system will also provide increased exposure for our sponsors. |
