A handful of Counties Manukau Steelers players, including three Ardmore Marist team mates, have been called into Super Rugby squads as cover for All Blacks and other players currently on leave.
The Chiefs have called in Ardmore Marist Prop Ezekiel Lindenmuth as injury cover. Lindenmuth had a strong Mitre 10 Cup and has previously played with the Blues. He will join Manurewa loose forward Viliame Taulani who also had a stand-out provincial season and will get his first taste of Super Rugby in 2021.
Steelers skipper Orbyn Leger has boosted the Hurricanes midfield stocks after linking up with the Wellington-based outfit. Leger has previously played for the Blues and the Chiefs in Super Rugby.
He is joined at the Hurricanes by halfback Cameron Roigard, who has also been brought in as cover.
Roigard will be find himself behind Steelers teammate and Ardmore Marist halfback Jonathan Taumateine at the Hurricanes.
Outside back Etene Nanai-Seturo has a full contract with the Chiefs. All Blacks Prop Nepo Laulala and loose forward Dalton Papali’i have contracts with the Blues.
